ACI Welcomes Marie Gargas as Senior Director of Regulatory and International Affairs

The American Cleaning Institute, (ACI) the trade association for the cleaning products supply chain, announces the appointment of Marie Gargas as Senior Director of Regulatory and International Affairs.

In this role, Gargas will be responsible for managing environmental health and safety related regulatory issues and activities of concern. She will also manage the expansion of ACI’s collaboration with organizations internationally.

Gargas joins ACI from Plastics Industry Association (PLASTICS), where she was Senior Technical Director of Regulatory Affairs. In this role, she led on issues management and regulatory advocacy for air, water, waste, chemicals, process safety and occupational health and safety.

“Marie’s experience in the regulatory space makes her an invaluable asset to ACI,” said James Kim, ACI Vice President of Science & Regulatory Affairs. “We look forward to capitalizing on her knowledge when it comes to industry priorities for the benefit of our member companies.”

Gargas graduated from The College of New Jersey (Ewing, NJ) with a B.S. in chemistry and New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) (Newark, NJ) with a M.S. in environmental science.
